Q. I’ve never tried Pilates before, can I try?

A. Absolutely! And we would love to have you in for your very first Pilates class!

We run our classes so that they are suitable for beginners to advanced so everyone is welcome!

We do this by adapting the exercises to each fitness and strength level as needed. Before your first class we will also get you to arrive 5-10 mins early so that we can set you up on the Reformer, this will help you get familiar with the machine before the class starts and help you feel comfortable right from the beginning!

 

Q. Do I need to book?

A. Yes please! We are a boutique fitness studio meaning there are only so many spots available per class, so book your spot via the app or website booking page!

 

Q. How far in advance can I book?

A. You can book 6 weeks in advance so you can book away!

 

Q. I have an injury, how do I let you know?

A. Once you register with one of our studios, you will be prompted to complete our pre health questionnaire via the app or website.

So, before you even arrive at our studios, we will already know anything you want us to and will have already planned for any adaptions you might need. We may still ask you a few questions regarding anything you have told us but ALSO be sure to let us know of anything else that you may have left out or that has occurred after you completed the form!

 

Q. When should I arrive for my first class?

A. We would love to see you in the studio 10 minutes before your class begins to get you comfortable and ready! We will take the chance to go over any injuries, restrictions, or questions you may have plus show you around the studio! Trying Reformer for the first time? We will also show you around the Reformer machine so that you know the foot bar from the foot straps before the class even starts.

 

Q. What should I bring?

A. You can check out what we recommend for each different class, but we highly recommend a drink bottle and sweat towel for most classes.

Trying a Reformer class? Be sure to wear socks (grip socks are best, but any will work!) and if you have a Reformer mat be sure to bring it along!

Q. What if I need to cancel my class booking?

A. Head to the app or website, login and cancel your class booking! We ask that you do this at least 4 hours before your class to allow someone else to take your spot!

 

Q. Which class should I attend?

A. All of them! But to create a great routine, find what works for your likes and goals. You can read up on all of our classes but the best way to find out if you like the class is to try!

 

Q. I’m pregnant, can I come along still?

A. You sure can! You can find out which classes are pregnancy friendly in the class description but remember to also let us know once you are over 12 weeks pregnant and don’t forget to chat first with your medical practitioner and get their clearance.

Once in your second trimester we offer a short 1:1 reformer session to show you your pregnancy modifications and make sure you are still comfortable.

We do not recommend any class that is strenuous for you, that may cause you to over heat or raise your heart rate above the recommended levels, which is why we do not recommend our Power Reformer class or cardio based classes.

 

Q. Can I come along if I am under 16?

A. Our minimum age is 14, however if under 16 you will need to participate with a parent or guardian.
